The two men behind John & Bob's GrowGreen Smart Soil Solutions are John M. Valentino and Robert C. Truxell. They have worked for years in the Central San Joaquin Valley of California and are well known for creating beautiful commercial and residential landscaping projects. These horticultural specialists are also locally recognized for their community work, including extensive tree plantings (44,000 and growing!) as part of the Tree Fresno program.

We are business partners who earned degrees in ornamental horticulture from CSU Fresno and in landscape architecture from U.C. Berkeley.

After our formal training, we dedicated ourselves to learning all aspects of the landscape and gardening industry through hands-on work, association with other knowledgeable professionals and careful observation and evaluation, project after project. The hallmark of our business approach has been, and continues to be, an emphasis on quality and integrity.
